  • Acid Etching
  • Acid Etching is a process in which the glass is exposed to a diluted hydrofluoric acid wash gently etching the surface of the glass. Patterns are created by protecting certain areas from the acid wash leaving a crisp and clear glass.
  • Back Painting
  • Manufactured and fabricated with limitless color options using durable heat-cured, coated system. Capabilities include and not limited to color options, color clarity, color durability, standard and custom shapes (Flats, Cylinders, lighting fixtures and more), standard and custom sizes and standard and custom finishes.
  • Bending & Sagging
  • Bending and/or Sagging is a process of heating glass to the softening point and the glass starts to slumps and/or sags under its own weight. To control the shape and dimensions the part is slumped over a mold.
  • Beveling
  • Beveling is a process to introduce angles to the edges of flat surface glass.
  • Chemical Strengthening
  • Chemical Strengthening is a process in which glass is fortified using an ion-exchange method. This process is used when extremely thin glass is needed and increased strength is required. As a result, this process offers an increased surface compression that strengthens the glass without creating distortions and the glass surface is rendered harder and more resistant to scratching. With chemical-tempered glass there is no risk of spontaneous breakage.
  • CNC Machining
  • CNC Machining can provide tight tolerances and all sorts of shapes, with consistent repeatability. With CNC machining, it is possible to manufacture parts quickly and cost effectively.
  • Coatings
  • Coatings are used to enhance the inherent qualities of the specific glass type required. From anti-reflective to filtering to enhanced transmission, coatings can be applied to fit unique applications. If you require a special coating please contact us for individual consultation.
  • Drilling
  • Drilling is the process of creating large and/or small holes within glass components.
  • Edging
  • The process of edging is to grind a specified shape or design finish on the edges of round, square, rectangle, elliptical, and other assortment of shapes. We also chamfer, seam and/or clip sharp corners.
  • Etching
  • The two common methods are sand-blasting and acid-etching. The effect allows for creative art to be placed on the surface of the glass.
  • Frosted Finish
  • The two common methods are sand-blasting and acid-etching. The effect allows the glass to become translucent by scattering light evenly during transmission.
  • Glass Blowing
  • Blowing Glass creates a variety of standard and one-of-a-kind glass items by heating commercial tubing to the softening point and with the skill of an artist creates components, vessels and apparatus glassware for use in a myriad of products and or processes.
  • Glass to Glass
  • Sealing one glass type to another glass type, (Glass to Glass) and the thermal coefficient of expansions (CTE) are too far apart to be compatible, a graded seal is fabricated with as many as 5 layers of glasses to achieve compatibility from one end to the other. This process will result in a perfect hermetic seal. Glass to glass sealing is also used to seal flat windows to tubular glass components to make glass envelopes.

  • Sealing Glass to Metal when the coefficient of thermal expansions (CTE) are too far apart to be compatible, a graded seal is fabricated with as many as 5 layers of glasses to achieve compatibility from one end to the other. This process will result in a perfect hermetic seal. Glass to glass sealing is also used to seal flat windows to tubular glass components to make glass envelopes.
  • Glass Molding
  • The Glass Molding process is the melting of sand (silica), soda ash, limestone, borax and other trace raw materials into a molten stage and then dropping gobs of a specific weight into a mold and blowing the glass gob into the shape of that mold. There are four main methods of shaping glass: blow molding, press molding, drawing, and casting.
  • Glass Preforms
  • Glass Preforms are glass compositions designed with specific thermal expansions to match materials to be sealed together. Stringent batch controls provide the highest degree of dependability. The preformed frames, rings, and solids introduce a finite amount of sealing glass which can be shaker-loaded into sealing fixtures to create an infinite range of size and shapes in single or multi-bore forms creating a glass preform.
  • Grinding
  • Grinding is the removal of glass with abrasive (grinding) wheels in order to shape, polish or otherwise finish both flat and hollow glass. Grinding processes include milling, sawing, edging and drilling.
  • Heat Tempered
  • Heat Tempered (toughened) glass is two or more times stronger than annealed glass. When broken, it shatters into many small fragments which prevent major injuries. This type of glass is intended for glass façades, sliding doors, building entrances, bath and shower enclosures and many other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.
  • Laminating
  • Laminated glass is the process of two or more sheets of glass put together with a clear or colored interlayer to create a laminated safety glass. The interlayer can be a variety of thicknesses and can be combined with colors or rice paper to give the resulting glass different architectural or lighting possibilities. The interlayer is most commonly polyvinyl butyl (PVB), which in most cases absorbs over 98% of the UV region. The laminating process can be done in several ways; using PVB sheets cut to the glass sizes and sealed in an autoclave or liquid resin poured and cured via time, heat or exposure to UV. They all result in essentially the same resin bond and safety features. Our unique capabilities are in laminating a variety of patterned and unusual glass types with irregular surfaces and different inter-layers.
  • Lens Generation

  • Polishing
  • Polishing flat or radius surfaces (both spherical and cylindrical) The standard Commercial Grade Polishing is typically a flatness of 3 to 5 waves per inch and parallelism of 3 arc minutes or better. Our Optical Grade Polishing is a flatness of 1/2 wave per inch and parallelism of 1 minute or better. The surface quality specification is also much higher: 60/40 for our optical quality polishing, and 80/50 for our commercial quality. If your application demands, we have the capabilities of a 10/5 surface and 1/20 wave flatness. Please contact one of our application specialists for more information.
  • Precision Bore
  • Precision Bore Tubing involves the heating and shrinking of standard tubing over a precision mandrel when precise ID specifications and tolerances are required. The final product is formed as the tube is pulled over the mandrel.
  • Redrawn Tubing
  • Redrawn Tubing is an economical alternative to Precision Bore. The process of heating and redrawing tubing is accepted in many engineering applications.
  • Sand Blasting
  • Sand Blasting is done by pressure-spraying a fine abrasive onto the glass.
  • Silk Screening
  • Using ceramic frit a pattern is silk screened onto glass and baked into the surface of the Glass. Patterns and colors lets a designer create a subtle or bold look. This can also be used to screen graduation marks on laboratory vessels or adding a logo to a resale item.
  • Water Jet Cutting
  • Is the ultra-high tolerance 3D machining in cutting advancement for glass and ceramics composite. Computer algorithms that control both machine motion and water jet cutting dynamics have pushed water jet versatility to the forefront in modern machining. Imagine cutting so precise, you can have the most intricate shape cut in glass with complete control of tolerance. A perfect Dynamic Glass.
